Who You Gonna Call?

DSC_1604The sweeping trend of rebooting movies has hit one of Hollywood’s classics. The groundbreaking Ghostbusters films, or film, for those who chose to only remember the first movie, is getting a reboot.

But this isn’t your typical blockbuster remake. Director, Paul Feig, has selected an all-female cast of proton pack crusaders.

Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy, who worked with Feig in his hit movie Bridesmaids, have signed on. As well as Saturday Night Live stars Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon.

Rumors of a Ghostbusters reboot have been floating around for a while. And along with a cast, it was revealed the group will be shooting this summer in New York City.

It is definitely a huge leap from the original cast of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Rick Moranis. And probably not what most were expecting when they heard there would be a new Ghostbusters film. But a solid cast of strong, funny women, along with a director who has worked with them before, looks promising in giving the world a fantastic long awaited reboot.
